I heard an actress who said this, "people who are overweight are overweight because they don't really want to be thin."

I thought about that and it's true. If you really want to be thin, you wouldn't eat. But you don't really want to be thin, you just think it so you continue to eat the stuff that you know makes you put on the weight.

I use my ipod to help manage my eating habits at work. I do almost 90% of my snacking at work. But I can easily distract myself with music or podcasts. If I have that playing most of the day while I drafting or writing specifications, then I can manage to eat only when I am hungry.

I think most things sound good in theory. ut in reality when you are dealing with work, kids, and housework - things do not fall into place. I am not even sure for most women, 1200 calories is enough to sustain our basic bodily function. Isn't this like like how sumo wrestlers eat? At lot in the morning and then a nap?

I have a problem with clutter in my closet. I still have my "skinny" clothes that are out-dated, but I hope to fit in someday. A part of me is afraid of giving up my skinny clothes. It is evidence of my once skinny self. I think it is emotionally draining though to see them each time I open my closet. Maybe I will get rid of them the next time I get my stuff together for the Salvation Army.
